ABOUT CCSI

Central California Society of India is a non-profit and secular organization, whose goal is to be a coordinating link among community-based non-profit organizations located in California’s Central Valley on issues of common interest and concern.

WHO WE ARE

It seeks to build a sense of identity and community among people of Indian origin or those who have an interest in Indian culture. The population of people of Indian descent has been growing steadily and represents a significant portion of the people of Central California.

India is a country of ancient and diverse cultures. Since there’s no other organization to represent the Indian community locally, CCSI has taken the responsibility to preserve, protect, and share it with the rest of the general population.

Our Mission

To promote Indian culture and values by providing social, cultural, recreational and community programs, thereby uniting the diverse Indian community and raising awareness about Indian culture in the local community.

OUR OBJECTIVES

Provide a forum for discussion, debate, consensus-building, and cohesive action on all issues affecting the Central Valley California Indo-American community, including, but not limited to, the cultural, social, and intellectual interaction for the people of Indian origin, regardless of color, creed, race, or religion.

Promote cultural, social, regional and religions activities of India as sponsored by various groups and associations functioning in this geographical area.

Facilitate interaction with any other group, organization or institution engaged in promoting an interest in the culture of India.

Promote Indo-American friendship.
